McELROY Santaniel G. "Chief" McElroy passed into God's loving arms on January 31, 2012 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother Gertrude McElroy of Urbancrest, OH and owner of the Fashionetta Beauty Salon, and his father J.C. McElroy of Wheatcroft, KY. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rebecca of Columbus; sons, Darrin of Columbus, Anthony of Urbancrest, OH, and Breyon (Maria) of Redondo Beach, CA; three grandchildren, Malik, Sofia and Isabella; uncle, Larry Larkins, Urbancrest, OH; aunt, Amanda McBroom, Chula Vista, CA; cousin, Andrelee Watkins, Evansville, IN; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and very close friends. Santaniel graduated from Grove City High School and then served in the U.S. Army. Entered the work force and worked for the Timken Company where he retired after 35 years. Funeral Service Tuesday, 1 p.m., CHAPEL OF CALIMAN FUNERAL SERVICES, 3700 Refugee Rd., Pastor J. Richard McDaniel officiating.
