----------------------------------------------------------------------
Larry Larrison, 78, of Columbus, passed away on September 13, 2021.
He was born in Peru, Indiana on November 21, 1942 to Ira and Sylvia
(Terpstra) Larrison.
Larry graduated from Grove City High School and from Miami
University of Ohio in the 1960s. He found his passion in the
financial field and worked as a financial planner for several firms
before starting a firm of his own, The Arlington Group Investment
Consulting, LLC.
Larry will be remembered for his infectious laugh, warm hugs,
teasing manner, financial savvy, sense of humor, belief that he was
blessed, and love of life in the moment. He had an internal magnet
that drew him to people, nature, any bookstore within a 10 mile
radius, or table laden with food.
Larry was happiest when working with clients who became friends,
cruising the Great Lakes in his boat ("Dividend"), walking through
the woods with grandchildren, captaining a pontoon boat on Crystal
Lake in Michigan, standing with cigar in hand while stoking a fire
pit, and either reading a book or in companionship with family and
his friends.
Larry will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Anne Larrison;
children, Jake and Jason Larrison, Lis Davies (Greg), and Alex
McNealey (Laura); brother, Dan Larrison (Andrea); grandchildren,
Austin, Brody, and Sam Larrison, Ellie, Maddie, and Lottie Spaine,
and Lauren and Caroline McNealey; nephew, Bryan Larrison, and niece,
Tiffany Larrison; and many other family members and friends.
When asked what he wanted to say to others during his last illness,
he stated, "I've had a good life. I have been blessed by my
relationships. I thank God for the spiritual gifts given to me.
Laugh often. See the humor in the moment. Go out and hug your
family, especially your children and grandchildren, and use your
gifts to bless others."
The Larrison family welcomes everyone to celebrate Larry's life on
Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Larrison home from 5:00 to dark
starting with a brief outdoor memorial service near the fire pit
where his spirit was closest to his Creator, and followed by a
picnic of Larry's favorite foods.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's memory may be made to: Lake
Erie Foundation, Dublin Baptist Church, Ohio Health Hospice, or a
charity of your choice.
