---------------------------------------------------------------------- "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35 Kathleen Louise Havekost passed away January 13, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, but enjoyed her life lived between San Jose, CA and Visalia, CA. Kathy truly knew it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds. Kathy was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, with a beautiful soul who would help anyone. Her positivity was felt in any room she entered. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, and traveling. She lived life to the fullest, and especially loved spending time with her family, and friends. Although Kathy is gone, she will live forever in our hearts. She is survived by her daughter, Edith Hamilton; grandchildren, Amber Alvidres, Joshua and Noah Hamilton-Beard, Jonathan and Louis Hamilton; great grandchild, Damian Beard; brother, George Dunn; and sister, Alice Lowery. Preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Edith Dunn; late husband and father to their children, Dwane Hamilton; son, Jonathan (John) Hamilton; sister, Barbara (Bobbie) Rowland; late husband, John Havekost. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 1st, 2025, at 11am, at Prosperity Avenue Baptist Church in Tulare. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Gentiva Foundation in Kathy's name.
