Ernest H. Prater Jr., passed away on April 25, 2017 at his residence. He was born on July 2, 1942 in Flatfork, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents Marietta "Dennie" (Isaac) Prater, Ernest H. Prater Sr., brother Tommie K. Prater. Surviving family includes wife of 53 years, Sharon; children, son, Nathan J. Prater, daughter, Julie (Jeremy) Lambert; grandchildren, Chloe and Paul Lambert; brother-in-law, Paul Zeier; sister-in-law, Debby Zeier; niece, Heather Hyster and family; nephew, Bram Zeier and family; and several other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grove City Cemetery.
