Mike Wolfe

12-2-1942 to 12-29-2006

WOLFE Charles Michael "Mike" Wolfe, 65, lifelong resident of Grove City, passed away Friday, December 29, 2006 at Monterey Care Center. He was born December 2, 1942 in Columbus, the son of the late George and Mary (Washburn) Wolfe. Mike was a 1960 graduate of Grove City High School. In 1966, he was drafted by the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam two years. He was a member of the Grove City American Legion. Mike retired from Big Bear after many years of dedicated service. Following his retirement, he enjoyed part time employment at the Twin Towers Swimming Pool and he served as a Jockey's Agent at Beulah Park where he was known as "Good Time Charlie." He was also the former owner of Shedrow Saloon. Mike vowed to never "grow up." He loved to have a good time, no matter who he was with or what he was doing. He will always be remembered for being the most wonderful brother and the best uncle with the greatest one liners! His quick wit, upbeat personality and love for his family will truly be missed. Mike is survived by his loving sister, Sheila (Neil) Elam; niece and nephews who were like his own children, Tony (Jan) Parrett, Tim (Julie) Parrett, Amy Parrett and Shawn Elam; great nieces and nephews, Trevor, Lauren, Grace, Ava and Isabella Parrett; and his best friend, Mike Ekers. Graveside service and burial 11 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Grove City Cemetery with full military honors and Funeral Celebrant Andrew Hoover presiding. If you wish to send flowers, please have them delivered to the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway by 9 a.m. Saturday. To share your favorite memory of Mike, please visit www.schoedinger.com
